Pseudo-Christian meaning: Don’t kill any human for any reason ever.
Real meaning:

VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Pseudo-Christian meaning: Do not have sex before the Church sanctions your marriage with a wedding ceremony.
Real meaning: Do not adulterate your marriage by cheating on your spouse or by practicing polygamy. Do not adulterate your bloodline by committing miscegenation (Lev. 19:19, Num 36:6, Deut. 22:9, Ezra 9:1-2, Neh. 13:3). Do not adulterate your body or DNA by eating meat or dairy (Deut. 14:3).

Pseudo-Christian meaning: Do not desire what someone else has.
Real meaning:
- Do not go out of your way to try to take what doesn’t belong to you, like a political or religious position via ambition, or rushing to beat someone else to a parking spot.
- Do not claim inheritance to the Kingdom of Heaven if you won’t even do the bare minimum to earn it (i.e. “I’m a sinner, but I’m saved because I believe in Jesus Christ”)
